Axial, centrifugal or radial fan: how to choose
Axial fans move air straight through and suit open spaces with little resistance. Centrifugal blowers suit ducted systems or places where air must be pushed against resistance. Radial fans may be considered for demanding air conditions. The right choice depends on your application, so describe it before choosing a product.
Start with the application
Say where the fan will be used: a workshop, kitchen, hospital room, home, or inside a machine or panel. The place and the job decide the fan type more than the name on a catalogue.
Think about resistance
Air meets resistance in ducts, filters, bends and grilles. A fan that moves air freely in the open may struggle when ducts are added. Tell us if there is ducting and roughly how long it is.
Consider what is in the air
Heat, dust, oil, fumes and moisture all affect which fan is suitable. Mention them early so we can discuss options that fit the condition.
When you are not sure
You do not need the product name. Send a photo of the space or the old fan, the approximate dimensions and what you want to achieve. We help you select from there.
Not sure which applies to you?
Describe your space or equipment. We help select the right product and can handle installation end to end.
