Replacing a panel or equipment cooling fan: what to send

SHORT ANSWER

To match a replacement cooling fan, send a clear photo of the fan and its nameplate, plus voltage, current, dimensions and, if available, airflow and pressure. A photo of where it is fitted also helps.

Photograph the nameplate

The label usually shows voltage and current. Take a sharp, well-lit photo, and a second photo of the whole fan.

Measure and note

Note the overall size and mounting hole spacing, and whether the supply is AC or DC. If the fan has failed, keep it for comparison.

Tell us where it is used

Mention the panel or equipment, its location and how hot it runs. This helps us check the replacement suits the job, not just the size.

Not sure which applies to you?

Describe your space or equipment. We help select the right product and can handle installation end to end.
